Founded in 2025, Sovereign Core operates between independent invention and applied problem-solving. Our work spans engineering, materials science, infrastructure, energy, aerospace, and emerging technologies, with additional participation in open innovation challenges where we apply a consistent systems-based method: define the problem clearly, identify the true constraints, and develop the simplest effective architecture around them.
Founder
Sovereign Core was founded by Thea-Marie Sauca, an independent inventor based in the San Francisco Bay Area.
Thea holds a degree in Urban Studies from San Diego State University, with academic work spanning planning theory, policy development, land use law, and infrastructure systems. Her professional background includes affordable housing development, where she worked across financing, regulatory compliance, policy, and multi-constraint project environments.
That experience helped shape the systems-based approach behind Sovereign Core: define the problem clearly, identify the true constraints, and develop practical solutions across domains.
In 2025, Thea founded Sovereign Core to formalize and develop a growing portfolio of original technologies and applied problem-solving work.
She has also developed housing policy proposals that were accepted for legislative consideration by California Assemblymember Ash Kalra's office.
